Why Do Some Children Die Young?

A child can leave early, whether through miscarriage, abortion, or death after birth, because the souls involved planned the short stay in advance. The event is not an accident. The child’s soul often wants only a brief introduction to physical life, enough to touch the experience and then move on. The mother agrees to make that possible. Past life regression is one established way people explore this. In one-to-one sessions I work with clients who want to understand the agreement that was made and release the guilt, sorrow, and confusion that remain.

Why would a child choose to leave early?

The choice is made between the soul of the child and the soul of the mother and the father before the pregnancy begins. The child does not intend a full physical life. It wants a short encounter with the body and the family, then returns to the non-physical. In my work I have seen this described as the soul simply wanting to dip its toes into physical reality and then step back. The mother is willing to participate so the child can have that limited experience. At the same time the mother, and the father, receive the chance to meet lessons of forgiveness, letting go, shame, and hurt that would not have arisen in the same way without the early ending. The child acts as an obliging friend who says, in effect, I will come and help you experience this.

What purpose can an early departure serve for the family?

The short life creates a concentrated opportunity for everyone involved. The child gains the experience it sought. The parents confront feelings that have often been carried for years. In one session a woman who had gone through multiple miscarriages and still longed for a child connected with an earlier lifetime in which she was a little girl watching her own mother lose a pregnancy. She had absorbed the confusion and pain of that household. Once those emotions were released in the regression, a sense of ease returned to her present life and the path toward having a child felt clearer. The early ending had served both the child who left and the woman who later needed to clear what she had carried.

Does this mean the child’s life had no value?

The brief life is complete for the purpose it served. Nothing harmful has happened to the child’s soul. It remains in a state of well-being and has been enriched by the short time spent in physical form. Sometimes the same soul returns to the family later, when the parents are more ready, the mother’s body is better able to carry a pregnancy, or the conditions match what the child wants to learn. The relationship does not end with the early departure. It continues, and the child is safe.

How can parents begin to make sense of the loss?

Understanding begins when the parents recognize that the event was planned and that the child’s soul is unharmed. The guilt, sorrow, and self-blame that often follow an abortion or miscarriage can be met directly in regression. Clients frequently recover the original agreement and the specific lessons each person came to meet. Once that larger picture is clear, the remaining work is to forgive oneself and allow comfort to reach the heart. The child who left is already at peace; the healing that remains belongs to the parents.

How past life regression applies here

In a past life regression session the focus is on the agreement made between the mother and the child, the emotions that were left unfinished, and any earlier lifetimes that still color the present grief. Clients often leave with a clearer sense that the child’s soul is well and that the early ending served a purpose for everyone involved. The session does not erase the loss. It places the loss inside the continuity that was always there so the parents can release what no longer needs to be carried.

Frequently asked questions

Did my child choose to leave, even in the case of abortion or miscarriage?

Yes. The material that surfaces in regression shows the short stay was planned between the souls. The child wanted a brief experience of physical life and the mother and the father agreed to participate.

Is the soul of the child harmed?

No. The soul remains safe and enriched by the experience. It has not been damaged.

Will the same soul come back to me later?

Sometimes. When the timing, the parents’ readiness, and the child’s own intentions align, the same soul can return in a later pregnancy.

Can regression help with the guilt and sorrow that remain?

Yes. Sessions are designed to surface the original agreement and release the emotions that have stayed with the parents so that forgiveness and comfort can settle.
