We all love traveling and experiencing new ways of life. When we arrive at our destination we still have strong memories of how things are back home so we compare everything and find contrasts or similarities everywhere. However, in a day or two we begin to attune to the place, the people and the culture and begin to appreciate them for their own beauty and charm. And then we sink into the experience and feel as if we always belonged.
That is exactly what happened to Trevor Corson when he visited Finland. In the video below he shares his experience. It is a great video and it makes me long for a Mökki vacation – for nature, silence and solitude.
You can read Trevor Corson’s Saunas and Silence article which describes his impressions of Finland and their way of life here.
