How to Learn Past Life Regression: Classes, Workshops and Certification

Learning past life regression starts with experiencing it yourself, then building the skills to guide others. A short introductory class lets you explore the ideas, a workshop gives you time for a full guided journey, and a certification training teaches you to facilitate sessions on your own. Here’s how to choose your path and where to begin.

Where learning regression begins

Hypnosis and regression share a foundation: deep relaxation and focused inner attention. That’s why many people first meet this work through an introductory class on hypnosis or meditation. From there, the next step is to experience a regression of your own, and then to study how a facilitator guides one.

Why learn in person?

Reading and recordings are wonderful, but being in a room together offers something extra:

  • Live guidance. A facilitator can answer questions as they arise.
  • Shared energy. Many people feel a group helps them relax and open.
  • Seeing it demonstrated. Watching how a facilitator speaks and paces a session teaches a great deal.
  • Community. You meet others exploring the same questions.
  • Accountability. A scheduled class gets you to actually show up for your growth.

Short classes versus full workshops

Introductory classes are brief, often under an hour. They introduce the ideas, may include a short relaxation and let you decide whether you want more. They’re ideal when you’re curious but unsure.

Workshops run for a full day or a weekend. They include one or more guided regressions, time to share and deeper teaching. They suit people ready for a real experience.

Each has its place. Choose what fits where you are now.

What you learn by experiencing regression

Even as a participant, you learn a lot:

  • How relaxation feels when the mind becomes receptive.
  • How information arrives for you: images, feelings, sounds or knowing.
  • How to ask questions of your Higher Self.
  • How to integrate insights into daily life.

Over time, you build trust in your inner guidance, and that’s a skill you can use every day.

Choosing a class or teacher

When you’re looking for a class, consider:

  1. Experience. How long has the facilitator worked with regression?
  2. Approach. Does the description resonate with you?
  3. Safety. Do they explain how they support participants who become emotional?
  4. Reviews. What do past attendees say?
  5. Your intuition. Do you feel drawn to this person and place?

Learn to guide regressions with me

If you feel drawn to help others explore their past lives, I teach this work in my certification training.

My Past Life Regressionist Certification is 4 days of recorded, experiential training (6 hours per day). It covers past lives, future lives, life purpose and soul relationships, how to facilitate safe regressions, practice with feedback, a complete session script and a professional certificate when you finish, with ongoing support from me.

If you’d like personal guidance first, my Work With Me page explains the ways we can work together.

Prefer to experience regression in person first? Join me at Kripalu in Massachusetts, February 5 to 7, 2027, for my Kripalu past life regression workshop on healing and transformation. You can find all current dates on my Events page.

Common first-class worries

“What if I can’t relax?” Most people relax more than they expect. Even partial relaxation is enough.

“What if I don’t see anything?” Many people receive through feelings. Read Not Seeing in My Regressions for reassurance.

“Will I lose control?” You remain aware throughout. See Am I in Control During a Past Life Regression?

Practicing between classes

Learning continues at home. Try a guided recording once a week, keep a journal of what comes through and notice how your dreams and intuition respond. Small, regular practice builds confidence.

Hypnosis and regression: how they relate

Hypnosis uses focused attention and relaxation to access deeper layers of the mind. Past life regression uses a similar state with a specific purpose: exploring other lifetimes and receiving guidance. Understanding one helps you appreciate the other.

Bringing a friend

Many people feel more comfortable attending a first class with someone they trust. Sharing the experience afterward over a cup of tea can deepen what you both received. You may find you each saw something that helps the other.

In person or online?

Online sessions and classes make regression accessible from anywhere, and many people have powerful experiences at home. In-person events add the energy of a shared room and the chance to connect face to face. Both are valid. Choose what suits your life, budget and comfort.

What to notice after your first class

Pay attention to how you feel in the hours and days afterward. Are you more relaxed? Curious? Did a memory or image keep returning? These reactions can tell you whether to continue with more classes, a workshop or a private session.

Learning from other participants

In a group, other people’s questions often answer ones you hadn’t thought to ask. Listen closely during sharing time. Someone else’s experience may give you language for your own.

Start where you are

Whether it’s a short introduction, a weekend workshop or a full certification, every step counts. Choose one way to explore this month. For an overview of everything I’ve written on the subject, visit the Past Lives hub.
