The Top Benefits of ASMR

Hi everyone.

Today, I’m going to talk about the benefits of autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR). You know, that head tingling feeling that is currently a hot topic on the internet and which has sparked numerous ASMR YouTube videos.

If you’ve been following me, you’re probably aware that I am a believer and practitioner in the healing powers of ASMR meditation. In fact, in one of my popular ASMR videos, I have shown how people can start learning self-love by listening to the sound of my voice accompanied by stimulating music.

There are many more benefits available through ASMR; I am going to discuss a few with you.

Relaxation: Many of us find it hard to relax, whether due to stress, impatience or illness. Not relaxing can lead to a buildup of tension in the muscles and even illnesses such as hypertension. It is, therefore, very important that you find ways to relax, even on busy days. ASMR whisper relaxation and brain tingling techniques can prove useful in helping you relax and they don’t require a lot of time. These are things you can do during your coffee break, while at your desk, or even a few minutes before going to bed. You can have someone trained in the art of ASMR help you or you could watch a good ASMR video online.

Treat insomnia: Insomnia is a big problem for many people. In fact, statistics show that up to 35% of the population suffers from a form of insomnia and 10% have chronic insomnia. A lack of sleep can contribute to negative health conditions and illnesses, including memory loss, fatigue, inability to concentrate, and poor judgement. ASMR sleep techniques include lightly touching the head and face, as a form of brain massage, listening to ASMR sleep sounds and videos and, and watching ASMR videos that promote sleep.

Handling anxiety: Most of us get anxious from time to time for different reasons, but there are others who actually suffer from anxiety, which can be triggered at any time. The Anxiety and Depression Association of America reports that 18%, or 40 million Americans over the age of 18 years suffer from anxiety. It is also considered the most common mental illness. There are medications to treat anxiety but many of them come with side effects. Using ASMR, you can overcome anxiety without having to worry about side effects. The triggers that cause the head tingling sensations in ASMR are very soothing and calming, so if done properly, you will not only learn to manage your anxiety, you may even be able to control it.

Understanding the body: At some point in our lives, we’ve all been concerned with unravelling the mysteries of the body. What causes that sensation, why did I respond like that, how do I handle this feeling? These are all common questions we’ve been faced with, some of which have never been truly answered. Through ASMR meditation, it is possible for you to put the head tingling sensation into context while noting the different effects it has on you. This could further help you understand things that trigger ASMR brain tingles, why you get them, and how you can channel them into other areas of your life.
